Kris Swift joined CommGeniX in 2005, bringing more than 16 years of experience in the hospitality and meetings industry. Kris began her career working in the rooms division of Four Seasons Hotel and Ritz Carlton Hotels. She was a part of the management team at the Ritz Carlton Boston when the company won the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 1992. Kris worked for the American College of Physician Executives and Cortex Communications, gaining industry knowledge in the medical communications arena. She founded Swift Meetings & Events in 2001, partnering with medical communications companies on pharmaceutical initiatives.
Kris received her Bachelor of Science, Business degree in 1988 from the University of the Pacific and her Master of Hospitality Administration degree in 2003 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Kris received her Certified Meeting Professional designation in 2003. She has been an active member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) since 1997, serving as Vice President of Finance from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, Kris was named “Meeting Planner of the Year” by the Tampa Bay chapter of MPI. Kris is actively involved in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training and Polycystic Kidney Foundation’s Run for PKD, competing in half marathons while raising funds for future research in leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma as well as polycystic kidney disease.
